Police Corruption is nothing new…

Back in 1998 I was studying Broadcast News in college and decided to intern for the summer with the Black Media Foundation. I lived in Brooklyn and would trek 2+ hours to the Bronx everyday for 3 months to try and hone my writing. Attached is a glimpse of the outcome discussing Police Corruption in NYC. Almost 20 years later and we’re still discussing the Wall of Silence issue within police ranks.

Thanks to The Dow Jones Newspaper Fund, Fordham University and Black Media Foundation for giving an upcoming writer like myself a chance so many moons ago.
